Bad Debts
If you have bad debts, this scenario might sound all too familiar to you: You open your credit card bill only to find that there's no way you can afford the minimum this month. In fact, after you paid bills for your essentials (i.e.--rent, utilities, car payment and car insurance) you can barely afford gas and groceries. In fact, your phone was disconnected last month, which was actually a blessing because the calls from your creditors stopped. But that's the only reason they stopped. The next thing you know, you're getting letters from them. You're scared that collections agencies will find you next, and your wages might be garnished after that.
If you have bad debts to this extreme, you don't have time to waste. You need to contact a debt management company to find way to eliminate credit card debts for good. They have all kinds of programs for people just like you with bad debts. The first thing they'll do is go over your finances with you to see what your debts are and what your income and resources are. This is information they need to recommend the right debt management program for your situation.
Once you have enrolled in a debt management program, you can put the worries that accompany bad debts behind you. First of all, enrollment in a professional debt management program puts an end to creditor harassment of all kinds--by telephone or in writing. Second of all, you'll be paying an amount you can actually afford each month instead of not being able to pay anything at all. Third, once your creditors have received a few payments on time, the debt management company can request that they report your accounts as current instead of past due, and that can only improve your credit rating--immediately too!
Finally, because most debt management programs focus on reductions in interest rate (some in balance, too) you will more than likely be rid of your bad debts in five years.
